Silver British War Medal with original ribbon, blue, black, white flanking central orange strip. The front (obv or obverse) of the medal depicts the head of George V. The recipient's service number, rank, name and unit is impressed on the rim.
The Allied Victory Medal Type II model with original rainbow coloured ribbon. The recipient's service number, rank, name and unit was impressed on the rim. The British medal was designed by W. McMillan. The front depicts a winged classical figure representing victory.
Both Medals Presented to 2835 Private Ivan Curtis Dorsetshire Regiment. Full size originals. Miniature dress replicas on pin bar brooch. Pairs are generally for servicemen who joined the war after 1915, and are the British War Medal with the Victory Medal, colloquially known as the "Mutt and Jeff" pair. Photographs some of the photos are showing the medals with the incorrect ribbons. Changed round correctly.
